真实的美国高中
一、排名：美国高中本来就没有官方的或者统一的排名，所以不存在排名的选择。当然美国有一些10大联盟之类的名高中联盟，但是即使这样的名高中联盟也没有排名，因为各有所长。
二、看中AP课程：美国很多名高中是没有很多AP课程的，但是每个学校都可以进行AP考试，因为美国名高中的一些高难度的课程得到了美国常春藤大学等名校的认可，其难度比AP课程都难很多。所以不要一味地看美国高中有多少AP课程来作为选择美国私立高中的标准。同时美国大部分高中对于学习AP课程都有要求，不是随便可以去学习和参加考试的。
三、地理位置：美国东西海岸的高中吸引了很多学生和家长，但是美国也有一些着名高中在中部或南部，他们每年都向美国着名高校输送了很多学生，同样非常优秀。同时，东西海岸因为地理位置优越，申请竞争非常激烈，因此选择的时候也应适当调整思路。
四、男校和女校：单一性别学校和男女同校没有本质区别，仅仅针对男性或女性的社会认知，进行一些性格塑造培养的课程，或者仅仅是因为家长“求得放心”的因素。比如您儿子如果进入男校，并不意味着远离女生，学校每周都会安排和临近女校的联欢活动。
五、宗教背景学校：在美国有大量的学校有宗教背景，比如基督教、天主教、贵格教、路德教，他们捐款修建学校，也有很多家长担心说我的孩子不信教，无神论者，到了宗教学校以后会不会被强制信教，这种情况是绝对不会发生的。我们曾参观了一个基督教的学校，这个学校里面只有25%的学生是有基督教信仰，当然宗教学校里面往往在每周都会安排宗教课，甚至有一些宗教课还算作学分，但是学生和家长并不用担心宗教课会灌输宗教信仰，其实，学校是通过这种宗教课来启发学生如何能变成一个品德高尚的人。
